MDS Explained.
The Multi Displacement System (MDS) is a technology used in internal combustion engines, primarily developed by Chrysler, to improve fuel efficiency. MDS works by deactivating certain engine cylinders when full power is not needed, such as during highway cruising or light acceleration. This effectively reduces the engine's displacement, allowing it to use less fuel. When more power is required, the system seamlessly reactivates the cylinders to provide full engine performance.
